Das Viermalige HOYS-prämierte Showpferd Bringt Drei ET-Stutfohlen

Ein produktives Turnierpferd, das viermal das Pferd des Jahres (HOYS) gewonnen hat, hat drei Stutfohlen durch Embryotransfer (ET) hervorgebracht.

DPUK Night Dancer, zu Hause als Bubbles bekannt, steht seit mehreren Saisons an der Spitze der kleinen mittleren und kleinen Hacker. Ihr Besitzer, Ami Miller, kaufte sie 2017 und die beiden haben gemeinsam Plätze bei HOYS und Royal International erreicht.

Ami entschied sich 2019 für ET, in der Hoffnung, die gerittene Karriere der Stute fortsetzen zu können und gleichzeitig die nächste Generation zu züchten. Die Stutfohlen - davon zwei Zwillinge von Kilvington Scoundrel, getragen von zwei Empfängerstuten - wurden im Mai letzten Jahres geboren.

"Unser Plan war es, Bubbles 2020 auszustellen, aber wegen Covid hat sie zu Hause gechillt", sagte Ami, die unter dem Präfix Honourable züchtet und berichtet, dass das dritte Fohlen von Whalton High Flyer ist. „Ich bin mit ET gegangen, damit wir weiter an Wettkämpfen teilnehmen und auch versuchen konnten, in einem Jahr mehrere Fohlen von verschiedenen Vätern auf den Boden zu bekommen.

„Die Möglichkeit, mit einer so guten Stute ein Zuchtprogramm starten zu können, ist enorm spannend. Ich weiß selbst aus diesen Kursen, dass Hacks heutzutage so schwer zu finden sind.“

the process was undertaken at mount st john stud under the watchful eye of emma blundell. the recipient mares produced the fillies, the honourable bardot, the honourable nightingale, and the honourable beatrice. the twins by kilvington scoundrel were born within 10 hours of each other.

“emma is very experienced with et, too, so it made sense to use this method,” added ami. “it’s been a great way of breeding with a mare like bubbles; obviously you need a good stallion but the mare is just as important. as far as i’m aware they are the first et foals in showing. hopefully, by the time bubbles is retired we will have some nice up and coming three-year-olds.

“i’m looking to put bubbles in foal now; she doesn’t owe me anything so she’ll probably retire from ridden competition now.”
